Fox to SN95 Brake Conversion - K-member questions

I'm upgrading my 1988 Mustang LX to 5 lug wheels and 4 wheel disc brakes using the brake components and spindles off of an 1994 Mustang GT.  I want to put a tubular k-member and coil-over kit on my car but am not sure what will work.  Do I need to get a kit for a Fox mustang or do I need a kit for a 94-95 SN95 mustang?  I think the k-members are the same but the control arms a different.  I'm not sure about the coil-over's though.  Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fox to SN95 Brake Conversion - K-member questions

I too have done a conversion and I HAVE AJE tubular arms for my 1990 Fox body Mustang. I have 2003 spindles, rotors and calipers. The AJE arms have screw in Dodge/Chrysler ball joints. The 94 up ball joints are fatter and shorter so my spindles have slack. I called AJE and tried various ball joints locally with the MOOG part numbers given but after about 8 attempts I gave up and ordered bushing shims from Breeze Automotive which sells them for Factory Five Cobra's with the same issue.

So to answer your question order all the FOX stuff for your car. Then order this.... http://www.breezeautomotive.com/details.php?prod_id=254&cat_id=34

I'm runing QA1 on my other Mustang. They use press in stock style ball joints. AJE uses press in on the 94 up tubular arms according to the tech I spoke with. Probably because they can't give you a good number to use with the 94 up that is screw in.

I pulled the below note from www.jegs.com in reference to AJE products. Maybe that will help some too.

Note: Installing 1979-93 A-arms on an SN-95 chassis (1994-Up) can pull the wheels in 1'' and requires more camber adjustment than a factory setup can provide.

As a side note I don't think anyone ever checks this page.
